Extra virgin olive oil too expensive

According to a survey by Istituto Piepoli, extra virgin olive oil has become too expensive: 45% of consumers have rediscovered seed oil in the kitchen.

The price of extra virgin olive oil has reached 9 euros per bottle and one in three consumers no longer buys it as much as before. The alarm comes from a survey conducted by Istituto Piepoli, which interviewed a sample of Italians. The data will be presented in Bitonto on March 8th, as part of the Cibus Lab seminar dedicated to olive oil and co-organised by Cibus di Parma.
