Newsroom Italia

Livio Gigliuto, Vice President at Istituto Piepoli , guest of Paolo Poggio's Newsroom, opens a window on the battle against Coronavirus and the political crisis in Italy.

This week Istituto Piepoli interviewed Italian Public Opinion on the battle against Covid19 and the political crisis in Italy.

52% of the poll – Livio Gigliuto reminds us – says that the battle against the Coronavirus has not yet been won due to the incorrect behavior of their fellow citizens. Livio Gigliuto, Vice President at Istituto Piepoli, points out that this is a very mature response. Apparently, Italians have reasoned a long time on this issue. The other half of Italians blame a little politics (about 20% of the poll) and a little the situation itself (20-25%).

As for the feeling that this government crisis has aroused among Italians, Livio Gigliuto stresses that no one expected a government crisis in this difficult time for the Country. Amazement immediately was replaced by anger and worry. One on three Italians, in fact, say they are concerned about this situation (33%).
